Carrie Ann R. Cusack, MD, is Former Vice Chair, Associate Professor and Program Director of the Department of Dermatology at Drexel University College of Medicine. Dr. Cusack graduated from Princeton University with a BSE in Mechanical Engineering. She is also a magna cum laude graduate of Jefferson Medical College along with being a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. She completed her dermatology residency at the Henry Ford Health System in Detroit, Michigan, where she was elected to the position of chief resident.
Dr. Cusack then completed her fellowship in dermatopathology at the University of Pennsylvania. In addition to her specialty training in dermatopathology, Dr. Cusack has a particular interest in medical dermatology and connective tissue diseases. Dr. Cusack also serves as an assistant editor of the Archives of Dermatology, one of the field’s leading academic journals. Dr. Cusack is board certified with both the American Board of Dermatology and the American Board of Pathology.
Dr. Cusack spent over a decade and a half in academic medicine as the Vice Chair of the Department of Dermatology at Drexel University where she was responsible for training and educating future dermatologists. She has received numerous awards and honors within the dermatological and medical community. She is also a two time recipient of the Compassionate Doctor Recognition award, which is granted to physicians who treat their patients with the utmost kindness. This honor is granted based on a physician’s overall and bedside manner scores.
